Client Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls
Following a rigorous appraisal of the site and buildings as well as the school’s curricular needs, a masterplan was developed with the school which was submitted to the local planning authority in 1997 for agreement to inform future planning applications. With their site located in the Green Belt, this afforded the school a valuable element of assurance in terms of future site development. Projects over the following fifteen years were framed by this agreed strategy. In 2013, IID were reappointed by the school to prepare an updated version of the masterplan to enable them develop with confidence for the next 20 years.
Projects completed so far include a swimming pool, a pre-prep school, junior and senior school gymnasium, leature theatre and general teaching buildings, library, new kitchen and dining facilities and STEM building.
