New College Oxford asked IID to design new residential accommodation for 96 post graduate students, along with site administration offices and a family house. Red brick with limestone creates a graceful composition which sits well alongside the existing pavilion. Elements of stained glass detailing and elegant corner oriel windows bring a distinctive aspect to the development.
Now named Weston Buildings, the accommodation comprises 16 houses each containing 6 single rooms and 3 bathrooms with a large, modern kitchen and a dining area which looks out onto the university grounds.
