The Bridgeman Building Extension at Reed’s School has been shortlisted for the Building Awards 2022 Small Project of the Year.
The building is now a gateway to the school and point of arrival for their expanding Sixth Form. It forms a node between three existing buildings, acting as a central hub for Drama, Art, and Science departments, and activating a previously underused corner of the site.
The façade features robust and low-maintenance materials that reference the surrounding Arts & Crafts buildings. Tall windows create a vertical rhythm and sense of height, while providing the internal spaces with daylight and views of the surrounding landscape.
