We’re excited to collaborate with New Hall School on transforming Boreham House, a stunning Grade I listed manor in Chelmsford, into a new Preparatory School site. Built between 1728 and 1733 for Benjamin Hoare, Boreham House has a rich history. In 1930, Henry Ford purchased the estate and established the Henry Ford Institute of Agricultural Engineering, which operated as a training college for agricultural machinery until 1952. The house then became the main training centre for Ford Tractor Operations in Europe. From 2008, Boreham House served as a successful wedding and event venue. We’re eager to honor this unique heritage by creating inspiring learning spaces that reflect the building’s storied past.
